Isabella Holpfer, 25, kicked off her 2026 LETAS season with a commendable top 20 finish at the Madaëf Golfs Ladies Open by MSE in Fez.
The Vienna-born Austrian, who turned professional in 2024, is keen to impress once more on a course she knows as well as the back of her hand.
“The course is in great shape again,” she said. “The greenkeepers have been working really hard and the greens are rolling nicely. In general, the greens on this course are pretty small, so having precise shots into the greens is key.
“You also need to know where the best misses are to give yourself a good chance of getting up and down.
“Since the Allegria Resort is also one of my sponsors, I’ll be staying at the hotel right on the golf course during the event. I’m looking forward to enjoying everything the resort has to offer while also staying focused and well prepared for the competition.”
Over the past five weeks, she has been sharpening her touch around the greens.
Holpfer, one of 15 Austrians playing on home soil this week, said: “After the first event in Morocco, I spent a lot of time practicing at home and working on different parts of my game. A big focus was on my short game, especially putting.
“I feel positive about the start of the season so far. Finishing T17 at the first LETAS event in Morocco gave me a lot of confidence, and overall, I was happy with how I played. There are always small areas to improve, and for me putting continues to be a big focus.”
