ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE WOMEN’S ENGLISH OPEN

England Golf Access

The 2026 LET Access Series (LETAS) continues in the United Kingdom next week at the Women’s English Open.

Manchester is the eighth of 19 stops on the calendar with the July 8-10 event to be held at The Manchester Golf Club.

Earlier this month, the prize pool was increased to a total of €80,000, the second-highest prize money of the LETAS season, marking a significant step in England Golf’s long-term ambition to establish the event on the Ladies European Tour (LET).

The rebranding reflects England Golf’s commitment to creating a flagship women’s professional event that provides enhanced competitive opportunities for players while raising the profile of women’s golf in England.

By strengthening the event’s identity and stature, England Golf aims to create a pathway towards full inclusion on the LET in the near future.

A field of 132 players representing 36 nationalities will be teeing it up in the 54-hole stroke play competition with a cut to the top 45 professionals and ties at the 36-hole mark.

The event will be headlined by 2026 LETAS winners Lauren Holmey and Hulda Gestsdottir, both strong contenders to make the step up to the LET next year.

Holmey currently leads the LETAS Order of Merit rankings, with the top seven players on the list come the end of the season set to earn their 2027 LET cards.

The likes of Jessica Hall and Bel Wardle will be among 41 English players teeing it up in Manchester.

There will also be 21 amateurs in the field with admission free for visitors on all days.
