CZECH GOLFER ANDRYSOVA TO MAKE PRO DEBUT ON HOME SOIL

As an amateur, Anna Andrysova finished T-21 at the 2025 Raiffeisen Bank Czech Ladies Challenge.

One year later, the 23-year-old Czech golfer will make her professional debut at Panorama Golf Resort.

“I’m so excited,” she said. “It’s so exciting to play the first tournament at home, and I think I’m ready. I’ve known this course since I was young and I feel prepared.

“I think it’s such an advantage to know the course, know the greens and know the breaks a little bit. I would say hole 18 is a pretty good hole, it’s short off the tee but you can also hit it aggressive if you want to, then it’s a short wedge into the green.”

Andrysova played four years of Division 1 college golf in the United States for the University of Louisiana Monroe Athletics.

She said: “I really enjoyed it. We won the Sun Belt Championship, which was really cool to do in my first year and also ended it that way. We played in regionals which was an amazing experience.

“It’s amazing to have a team around you, not just my teammates, but also coaches and all the college staff. It’s amazing that you have the support everywhere you go. It was a little bittersweet to leave, but I’m excited for what’s coming.”

Introduced by her father to golf, Andrysova very nearly become a professional tennis player before she joined a summer camp at her home club, Golf Resort Black Bridge, at the age of 12.

During the camp, she fell in love with the sport and never looked back.

Andrysova, who is also a fan of four-time Major champion Nelly Korda, added: “I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself. I want to play as best as I can, I want to enjoy it, smile a lot more and have fun.”
