LETAS READY TO BEGIN EUROPEAN STRETCH IN AUSTRIA

The LET Access Series (LETAS) returns this week after the season-opener in April with the Allegria Stegersbach Ladies Open.

A trip to Austria is the next competition on the calendar with the tournament staged on the Sudburgenland of the Allegria Golf Resort in Stegersbach.

The resort is Austria’s largest golf resort and consists of a 45-hole golf paradise with gentle hilltops, meadows, fields, and lush fairways among a picturesque and charming landscape.

It is the second edition of the tournament since it was added to the LETAS schedule in 2025 with England’s Gemma Clews the inaugural winner.

A field of 126 players representing 31 nationalities will be teeing it up in the 54-hole stroke play competition between 21-23 May for €50,000, and there will be a cut to the top 45 professionals and ties at the 36-hole mark.

There is a lot of home representation in the field this week with no fewer than 15 Austrians teeing it up on home soil.

Home star Isabelle Holpfer will be playing on her home course and joined by LETAS rookie Johanna Ebner.

There are also plenty of opportunities for up-and-coming players to excel with 26 amateurs competing in the professional tournament.

Switzerland’s Carolina Sturdza, who lifted her maiden LETAS title at the Madaef Golfs Ladies Open in April, returns looking for more success.

The Swiss star also leads the LETAS Order of Merit rankings as the Tour heads to Europe for a busy summer of events.

The Allegria Stegersbach Ladies Open takes place Sudburgenland of the Allegria Golf Resort from May 20-22.
