EUROPEAN SWING CONTINUES AT LADIES GERMAN CHALLENGE POWERED BY VCG

The LET Access Series (LETAS) continues into the third of six weeks of consecutive tournaments with the Ladies German Challenge powered by VcG.

Germany is the fifth of 19 stops on the calendar with the June 19-21 event to be held in Wuppertal at the Golf-Club Bergisch Land.

After a seven-year hiatus, the event is back on the calendar and will feature the second-highest prize money of the LETAS season with total of €70,000 to be distributed among the players in the final round.

Scotland’s Laura Murray shot a 14-under 202 to beat France’s Marie Fourquier by two strokes the last time the tournament was held in 2019 at Golf Club am Meer.

Golf-Club Bergisch Land, one of the oldest courses in Germany, was founded in 1928 among others by Willy Schniewind, who later represented the emerging German golf movement worldwide as President of the Deutscher Golfverband.

The club was ranked among the Top 50 golf courses in Germany by Golf Magazine in 2024 and achieved an impressive 12th place.

A field of 130 players representing 31 nationalities will be teeing it up in the 54-hole stroke play competition with a cut to the top 45 professionals and ties at the 36-hole mark.

Home star Hanna Tauber, who won the Allegria Stegersbach Ladies Open, will be among 18 German players teeing it up in Wuppertal.

There will also be 25 LETAS rookies in the field with admission free for visitors on all days.

France’s Lauren Holmey currently leads the LETAS Order of Merit rankings, with the top seven players on the list come the end of the season set to earn their 2027 LET cards.
