Nilsson Edges Ahead at Belfius Ladies Open

Sweden’s Emma Nilsson produced a bogey free second round to take a one shot lead into the final day of the Belfius Ladies Open, at Royal Bercuit Golf Club in Belgium.

Nilsson, a three time winner on the LET Access Series, recorded a three under par, 69, to go alongside her opening 71, for a 36 hole total of four under par.

Germany’s Laura Fuenfstueck sits one shot back after a second round of 70 and a three under par total. The 23-year-old won the SA Women’s Masters on the Sunshine Ladies Tour in February this year and is looking for her first win on the LET Access Series.

French rookie Manon Molle also recorded a second day 70 and is lying in 3rd place at 2 under par, one shot ahead of fellow countrywoman Mathilde Cappeliez, who shot an even par 72, on Friday.

Three players, Sanna Nuutinen of Finland, France’s Julie Aime and Czech amateur Katerina Vlasinova, are all tied for fifth place at even par, 144.

Forty-nine professionals and seven amateurs made the cut, which fell at nine over par, 153.
