Looking to go one better than her runner-up finish in Finland from three years ago, Jane Turner hopes for a wire-to-wire win going into the final round of the €45,000 Bossey Ladies Championship.
The Scotswoman followed her opening 65 with a second round one-under 70 at the par-71 Robert Trent Jones Jr course in Bossey, France. On a day when conditions were perfect, the cut fell at six-over par. Emma Grechi of France was one of the three amateurs to make the final round, and leads in that division tied for 19th at two-over par, 144.
In the post round talk, Turner spoke about good iron play that kept her well within the proceedings. “Did not putt as well as yesterday, would be happy with another under par round come tomorrow.”
Co-leader Astrid Vayson De Pradenne slipped down to fourth with a second round 74. The low round of the day belonged to Nina Muehl from Austria who fired a 64, seven-under par, which included nine birdies (three consecutive between 3-5 and two closing) against two bogeys to put her in the mix, tied for second at six-under par, alongside Natalia Escuriola from Spain who shot a 69.
Tomorrow’s round will commence at 7.30 with the final group teeing off at 10.10.
