Norway’s Rachel Raastad is returning for her third year on the LET Access Series and is hungry for a win. We get to know a bit more about Rachel with a few quick questions…
Who is your favourite golfer?
Henrik Stenson.
What’s your favourite club in your bag?
The driver.
What’s been your biggest golfing achievement of your career?
Winning the Norwegian National Championship and finishing 2nd in the 2014 Ladies Norwegian Challenge.
Which is your favourite golf course?
Chase Valley.
What is the one thing you could not live without?
Butter, I love it with everything tastes so much better!
Who do you most look up to?
My Grandfather, he taught me so much. To be kind to everyone and treat them the same way as everyone else and to also work really hard.
What is your favourite food?
Food – Bacon and cheese
How would you spend your perfect day?
A round of golf in July and after that go camping.
Your favourite city?
Strasbourg, it’s so cute and nice and I feel comfortable there.
Describe yourself in one word?
Energetic
What do you like doing besides playing golf?
To be outside, fishing and to watch TV shows.
If you could travel anywhere where would you go?
Go hiking in Australia.
What’s your best golfing tip for a beginner?
Have patience.
Do you have any superstitions before a round?
I always warm up with two balls when I putt and the ball which I’ve holed the most putts with is the one I will use in my round.
What is your most memorable sporting moment?
I would have to say the 1999 Winter Olympics in Norway.
Do you listen to music before your round?
Yes, the lasted music in the charts and 80’s music.
What’s in your golf bag besides golf balls and clubs?
A little titanium ball which I have had for years and this brings me luck.
What are your goals for 2017?
I am looking for a win on the LET Access Series.
