The LET Access Series heads to Sweden this week for the PGA Halmstad Ladies Open by Haverdal at Haverdals GC in Halmstad, for the fourth event of the season.
The 54-hole stroke play tournament features a strong international field of 120 players from 20 different countries, led by the 2014 LETAS Order of Merit winner, Emma Westin. Fellow Swedes Lynn Carlsson and Lina Boqvist are both in strong form after finishing tied 10th and 15th in the LET Turkish Airlines Ladies Open at Carya Golf Club last week.
The field also includes German amateur Olivia Cowan, who won the LETAS ASGI Ladies Open earlier this month and Scot Michele Thomson, who claimed her first LETAS title at the Ribeira Sacra Patrimonio de la Humanidad International Ladies Open in April.
The PGA Halmstad Ladies Open by Haverdal is the first of six events on the LET Access Series this year, which are part of the Nordea Tour. Four of those events are in Sweden and two, the Drobak Ladies Open and the Larvik Ladies Open, are in Norway.
There is a large contingent of 66 Swedes in the tournament field looking forward to playing on home soil.
At the close of the 2015 LETAS season, the top five players on the 2015 Ranking will earn membership of the Ladies European Tour while players in sixth to 20th positions will have the opportunity to progress to the final stage of Lalla Aicha Tour School for 2016.
