BOSIO BACK FOR ONE FINAL PUSH FOR LET CARD

After a long and testing rookie season, Australia’s Justice Bosio finds herself one good week away from an LET card.

The 21-year-old is currently ranked eighth on the LETAS Order of Merit. With the top seven earning full LET cards, Bosio heads into the final event of the season knowing exactly what’s at stake.

“It’s kind of just make or break,” Bosio said plainly. “You can have a good week and you walk away with an LET card, or you don’t, and you walk away with nothing.”

After the Lavaux Ladies Open, where she finished second and secured eighth on the rankings, Bosio flew back to Australia and wasn’t planning on returning to Spain for the final event.

“I think everyone’s a little confused that I’m back. But I couldn’t not come back. It was worth the risk.”

During the few weeks off Bosio recharged with family and friends, spent a mini break with her partner and sharpened her swing mechanics.

She also brings added support this week in the form of her personal trainer, Ashley Nisbet, a former professional golfer herself, who will be on the bag.

“It’ll be really nice to have company instead of pulling the trolley for myself.”

Bosio’s first year on Tour has been a crash course in professional golf’s mental and emotional toll. After a strong start Bosio hit a mid-season slump, something she rarely experienced during her amateur days.

“Missing cuts didn’t happen very often for me as an amateur,” she explains. “And when it did, it sucked. But everyone told me it would happen more on the professional circuit, and I needed to learn to roll with the punches.

“I had to go back to basics and just play each shot, play the golf course, and let the rest happen.

“I think that’ll be the game plan for this week as well.”

That approach paid off with two top 10s in the last string of events. Bosio knows that nothing short of a standout performance will get her across the line just like it was in Switzerland, where she had to dig deep despite falling just short of the win.

“This week feels the same. I need to do something special.

“It would just put the cherry on top of what has been a good year.

“I didn’t come into the season with too many expectations, but what I’ve done has been nice. Securing my card would just be amazing.”

Bosio is 88.24 points away from seventh spot after six top 10 finishes, including three runner-ups.

The Australian will tee it up at 12:50 local time with ninth and 10th ranked player’s, France’s Charlotte Liautier and Sweden’s Andrea Lignell.
