Switzerland’s Tiffany Arafi is excited to tee it up at home this week for the Lavaux Ladies Open at Golf de Lavaux.
Arafi is the top ranked Swiss player on Tour and currently ranks tied 18th on the LETAS Order of Merit.
With only two events left on the schedule, Arafi has booked herself a place at the final stage of Q School. Now she’s hoping to use this week at home to vault further up the rankings.
Speaking ahead of the week, Arafi said: “I’m really excited, there’s nothing like playing at home. Being close to family, and friends, gives me a special energy. It feels extra motivating to compete with that support around me.“
Arafi has played in three past editions of the event so is no stranger to the test the course provides. Her highest finish was tied 31st at the 2024 edition of the event.
“The Golf de Lavaux is a beautiful and challenging course. The layout really tests every part of your game, I think the most important is that you need to be precise off the tee.
“This week I want to bring the same solid game I’ve been building over the past weeks, keep trusting my process, and stay patient. If I stick to that, I know good things can happen.”
In 2023 and 2024 Arafi played mostly on the LET but this season has played solely on LETAS with great success. The 25-year-old has banked four top 10 finishes this season and has only missed one cut in 16 events.
“I’d love to finish the year on a high note. I want to keep pushing for strong results. But mostly, it’s about continuing to grow and taking the momentum into next season.
“I’m really proud of this season so far, four top 10 finishes and only one missed cut shows that the hard work is paying off.
“My game has been consistent and solid, and while there’s always room for improvement, I feel like I’m on the right path. It’s been a very positive year and a great foundation to build on.”
Arafi tees it up at 12:56am alongside the Netherlands Lauren Holmey and seventh ranked player England’s Charlotte Heath.
The Lavaux Ladies Open starts Wednesday 17 September and finishes Friday. The tournament will see 94 players tee it up across 54 holes.
This is the penultimate event of the season and will be crunch time for players wanting to earn an LET card for next season or advance to the final stage of Q School.
