On a dramatic final day, French amateur Sara Brentcheneff secured her first victory on LETAS after carding a final round of 67(-5).
The 17-year-old started strong with a birdie on the third before two consecutive birdies on holes eight and nine.
At the turn, Brentcheneff carded a bogey on the 11th but soon bounced back with three birdies in a row on holes 12, 13 and 14. One more bogey came on the 16th before Brentcheneff followed it up with a crucial birdie on the 17th.
Speaking about what it means to win, Brentcheneff said: “It’s just amazing. When I got to the 15th I said to my caddy maybe I’m the leader. He said no, you won’t be, no worries. He was wrong.
“This win was special because the last par putt on 18th was long and I held it, it felt great.”
At the season opener, the Terre Blanche Ladies Open, Brenthcheneff finished runner-up for the second time, so this win felt like it was meant to be.
“It’s my first win in a professional event, so it’s a moment to remember and I’m just so happy.
“I’m going to celebrate my win tonight with a party as my flight is tomorrow. Let’s go!”
Norway’s Madelene Stavnar picked up the 8,000 euro cheque after finishing solo second on 10-under-par whilst Germany’s Hannah Karg finished third on nine under.
There was a three-way tie for fourth place with Spain’s Amaia Latorre, Isle of Man’s Ana Dawson and Germany’s Leonie Harm on eight-under-par.
