LETAS ANNOUNCES THE ISLANTILLA OPEN WITH RECORD PRIZE FUND

Islantilla

The LET Access Series (LETAS) has today announced a new event on the 2025 calendar, the Islantilla Open, which will take place this July.

DoubleTree by Hilton Islantilla Beach Golf Resort will play host to the 54-hole stroke play tournament from 17-19 July, which will boast a record-breaking prize fund of €100,000.

Following on from the huge success and growth of the La Sella Openover the past few years, the promoter, the Anpora Group felt it was a natural and necessary progression to increase their support of the professional women’s game with a tournament on LETAS.

A field of 126 players will be teeing it up at the renowned golf resort, which has previously held a European Tour event, the Turespana Masters Open de Andalucia in 1995.

The addition of the Islantilla Open to the LETAS schedule in 2025 means there are now 16 events on the calendar, with the overall prize money for the season reaching €742,500 which surpasses last year’s total purse.

Speaking about the announcement, Alexandra Armas, CEO of the Ladies European Tour, said: “We are excited to announce that the Islantilla Ladies Open will be part of the 2025 LET Access Series schedule. Anpora’s continued commitment and support of our players over recent years through the La Sella Open has been fantastic.

“LETAS provides an excellent pathway to the LET and having the event, with a record-breaking prize fund in this year’s calendar offers another playing opportunity, which helps develop the professional game and strengthens the Tour.”

Ana Larraneta, LETAS Tour Director, added: “We are delighted to announce this addition to the schedule and to host another fantastic tournament in Spain. It is great to work with the Anpora Group which share our vision of giving female professionals more opportunities to play competitively; providing them the chance to compete for larger prize funds and increase their exposure, so that we can continue to work towards change, drive for equality and help with providing the pathway to the LET.”
