Spain’s Clara Moyano Reigosa is ready for a strong final week at home in the Santander Golf Tour- Zaragoza.
The Spaniard had a disappointing week at the Calatayud Ladies Open after failing to make the cut after rounds of 80 and 72 but now she’s determined to turn around her fortunes this week.
“I’m feeling good. It’s been up and down this season; I have some days great and others I struggle. It was the same last year but I’m feeling like I’m on the right track.
“It was a shock to miss the cut last week but I’m not down about it. I’m ready for a new week.”
Moyano Reigosa has had a steady season with one top 10 finish at the Rose Ladies Open in September and going into the final event and out of all the players has had the highest number of pars for the season.
“At the end of last year, I decided to change coaches and change everything, so I took this year more chill.
“I didn’t have high expectations but what we are doing is working so I just need to be patient and trust it.”
Moyano Reigosa is the second highest ranked player and currently sits 26th in the LETAS Order of Merit, just outside the top 21 spots which mean a fast track to the final stage of the LET Q school.
“I feel good about where I am on the LETAS Order of Merit, I knew I was close to the 21st spot but I think I need to keep doing what I’ve been doing. If I focus on that the score will come.
“I can’t put too much pressure on myself because if i focus on moving up the rankings too much I won’t perform the way I want. I’m going to focus on enjoying the last tournament and playing at home.
For the last tournament, Moyano Reigosa wants to embrace the comforts of playing at home.
“I will hopefully have my mum and my aunt come for weekend which would be nice. If she does come my mum might jump on the bag to have some fun with me.”
