Marion Ricordeau
The next stop on the LET Access Series will be this week’s Fourqueux Ladies Open, near Paris. The tournament will take place from 13th to 15th September 2012 at Golf de Fourqueux and will be the last event of the GENERALI Ladies Tour 2012 and the 10th event on the LETAS schedule.
France’s Marion Ricordeau, current leader of both the GENERALI Order of Merit and LETAS, will tee off tomorrow together with a total of 103 players. Marion will be looking to maintain her position whilst Scotland’s Pamela Prestwell and Norway’s Cecilie Lundgreen will be chasing to gain some ground on the Frenchwoman.
France’s Caroline Afonso, currently lying 49th on 2012 ISPS Handa Order of Merit and Jade Schaeffer, the 2011 Raiffeisenbank Prague Masters champion, are also in the field.
Golf de Fourqueux will be a venue of the GENERALI Ladies Tour for the first time, although its experience in organizing an event is well recognised as three French Ladies Opens have been played at this course between 1987 and 1989.
At the end of the Fourqueux Ladies Open, the winner of the GENERALI Ladies Tour will earn her place in the Lacoste Ladies Open de France. The best French professional, not otherwise exempt within the top 15 and the best French amateur on the GENERALI Ladies Tour, within the top 10, will also earn a place in their national open.
Play starts tomorrow at 8.40am local time.
