Sweden’s Corinne Viden is excited to return home and refresh her game after a busy tournament schedule on the Ladies European Tour (LET).
After a successful Q School back in December, Viden has competed most of her season on the LET but has struggled to consistently make cuts, with a highest ranked finish coming 23rd after the 18-hole Australian Women’s Classic.
Now Viden returns to play a week back on the LET Access Series (LETAS) with the intention of refreshing her game during the midway stage of the season.
“I’m not playing in London this week, so it was a great opportunity to come home and compete in front of my coach and build my confidence as it’s been a tough first half of the season.
“I think it a fun course this week, it is a typical Swedish course. It has some tricky greens and tee shots.”
Viden competed a full season on LETAS last year and recorded five top-10 finishes.
Her highest finish being tied second at the co-sanctioned Ahlsell Nordic Golf Tour event, the Smorum Ladies Open.
Now the Swedish player is dreaming of replicating that performance or going one better at Albatross GolfKlubb.
Viden is from the Gothenburg area so is relishing home comforts this week.
“To be honest, I’m just happy to be home. I am excited to have my team, friends and family on site.
“It will be a good opportunity to get feedback from my coach so I can work hard and play better the rest of the season.”
Viden, who hopes to just have fun this week, tees off at 8:44am alongside Australia’s Kelsey Bennett and France’s Marine Griffaut.
