France’s Astrid Vayson de Pradenne shot an opening 66, six under par, to lead the NordicTrack Open de Strasbourg at Golf de Strasbourg in France.

Vayson de Pradenne was one of the last players to tee off in the first round and made the most of the warm, sunny conditions. The 30-year-old recorded two birdies on the front nine for an outward half of 35 followed by a sizzling back nine 31, with five birdies and a solitary bogey on the 16th.

The Frenchwoman will be chased by Sweden’s Emma Nilsson who had a more up and down day, with four bogeys and nine birdies to record a 5 under, 67.

A further shot back is a group of five players, which includes Emma’s sister Sarah Nilsson, England’s Kiran Matharu, Michele Thomson from Scotland, Italy’s Lucrezia Colombotto Rosso and Sideri Vanova of the Czech Republic.

Play resumes tomorrow at 8.20 from both the 1st and 10th tees.
