Vittoria Valvassori
Italy´s Vittoria Valvassori produced a solid second round of 69, to lead the Open Generali de Dinard by one shot from her fellow countrywoman, Anna Rossi, Michele Thomson from Scotland and France’s Valentine Derrey.
Valvassori matched four birdies with four bogeys on her way to an even par round for a two round total of four under par, 134, putting herself in a strong position to score her first victory on the LET Access Series.
The Italian will be chased in the final round by Rossi, a winner of the 2012 LETAS Azores Ladies Open, Thomson and Derrey, who is a recent winner of the LET Turkish Airlines Ladies Open. The Frenchwoman may feel a little disappointed with her round today but will still be the player to beat going into the final 18 holes.
Sweden’s Isabella Ramsay produced the round of the day, 65, to occupy 5th position on her own. Ramsay will be looking to take her second LETAS title of the season after winning the Kristianstad Ahus Ladies PGA Open last month.
Forty-two professionals and twelve amateurs made the final day cut, which fell at 8 over par, 146. Play will commence at 8.04am on Sunday morning.
