TWO WAY TIE AT THE TOP HEADING INTO THE FINAL DAY IN SWEDEN

Tamy Kreuzer

In tough blustery conditions, Germany’s Helen Tamy Kreuzer and Denmark’s Natacha Host Husted are tied for the lead after day two of the PGA Championship Gothenburg on par.

Tamy Kreuzer was the only player to finish the second round under par on one-under.

The German, who started on 10, got off to a strong start with a birdie on the 13th before struggling with three bogeys on holes 14, 15 and 18.

On her back nine, Tamy Kreuzer kept calm and succeeded in rolling in birdies on holes five, six and eight.

Speaking about her round, the German said: “The conditions were brutal, we had a lot of rain and wind and a suspension after three holes.

“The course was really wet but I just tried to stay in it and pick up targets, get good numbers and just do what I did yesterday.

“Towards the end I had some good cuts and had a really nice group too that definitely helped today also.”

Kreuzer has played most of the season on LETAS with her highest finish being tied eleventh at the Montauban Ladies Open.

Now the German is ready to enjoy her first chance this year to be in the leading group.

“Tomorrow I just want to play to the best of my ability and take it shot by shot.

“I’m guessing we will get some more rain. So I will just try to see what’s possible.”

Ole Miss graduate, Denmark’s Natacha Host Husted carded two birdies and three bogeys to head into the final round as a leader.

Denmark’s Cecilie Finne-Ipsen will also be in the leading group after finishing solo third on one-over-par after round two.

Swedish amateur Kajsalotta Svarvar and fellow Swede Andrea Lignell sit in tied fourth on two-over-par.

Iceland’s Gudrun Bjorgvinsdottir, France’s Ariane Klotz sit sixth on three-over-par whilst England’s Lianna Bailey and Mimi Rhodes sit in tied eighth on four-over-par.

63 players made the cut which stood at +13.
