THREE TALKING POINTS FOR THE AMUNDI CZECH LADIES CHALLENGE

Amundi

After a fantastic week in France, the LET Access Series (LETAS) now heads to Czechia for the Amundi Czech Ladies Challenge starting on 13 June.

Last year Germany’s Helen Briem stole the show and secured her second win at Panorama Golf.

In this year’s edition, 127 players will tee it up at the stunning Panorama Golf resort in a bid to be crowned a champion.

Before play gets underway, here are some talking points about this week….

KOUSKOVA RETURNS TO HER ROOTS

After securing back-to-back wins on the LET in the last month, Czech’s Sara Kouskova is returning to her roots by teeing it up at this year’s edition of the Amundi Czech Ladies Challenge.

The Czech star first came to attention when she won this event back in 2021 as an amateur whilst still playing in college at Texas.

A year later she made her professional debut at the event that was then held in her home club, Prague City Golf.

After a not so strong first round of four-over-par she came back with five under and level par to finish second and open her professional career successfully.

From there she went on to win the LETAS Order of Merit in 2022 and earn her LET card for 2023.

With wins at the Jabra Ladies Open and the Tenerife Women’s Open we are delighted to welcome Kouskova back to LETAS as she prepares to keep up her stellar performances at home for the next to weeks.

24 CZECH PLAYERS TEEING IT UP THIS WEEK

This year sees a total of 24 Czech players vying for victory at home.

Seasoned professionals Sideri Vanova and Katerina Vlasinova will be there alongside the best of Czechia’s talented amateurs.

With Patrice Mackova, the top ranked Czech talent on LETAS teeing it up on the LET we await to see which local talent will rise through the ranks this week.

Czech professional rookies Gabriella Roberta Vitu, Karolina Stara and Agata Valahova will be looking to make their breakthrough on home turf.

LLANEZA BACK IN THE FIELD AT THE AMUNDI CZECH LADIES CHALLENGE

Llaneza

After winning the Santander Golf Tour-Avila in a stunning manner, by sinking her birdie putt in the tense one-hole playoff, Mexico’s Alejandra Llaneza is teeing it up again after a well-deserved week’s break.

We await to see if the Mexican can repeat her stunning performance at Panorama Golf.

With seven of the top 10 on the LETAS Order of Merit teeing it up this week, it could be the week we see a slight shake up of the Order.

One big question is will the winner make a splash? Will they follow in the footsteps of Marta Martin and complete the tradition of Panorama golf by jumping in the lake. That remains to be seen….
