TAMBURLINI TRYING FOR THE TRIPLE WIN IN FRANCE

All eyes are on Chiara Tamburlini this week as the Swiss star aims to repeat last week’s success and clinch a third victory in France.

The 23-year-old from St. Gallen clinched victory number two by two strokes ahead of fellow Swiss friend Elena Moosmann four days ago at the Rose Ladies Open, just three weeks after turning professional.

“I’m feeling good, there is no added pressure after last week,” the Swiss Golfer said.

“I just have confidence that I’m doing things the right way. I don’t want to change too much and just take confidence from it.

“It is very cool to have a tournament with the Alps Tour. It continues the same lines of the Rose Ladies Open last week by just pushing the women’s game and making it better as well. It helps to compare more to the men’s game, and that’s a big thing!”

Tamburlini has had quite the back end of the season with two wins at the Rose Ladies Open and the PGA Championship Gothenburg as well as three more top-10 places.

Now Tamburlini sits in third on the Order of Merit tables after last week’s win and turned down an invite to play the LET Swiss event this week in favour of focusing on securing her 2024 LET card.

“The course is nice, and it is quite hilly so I’m quite pleased to have my dad on the bag for the first time ever.

“My goal is to play as good as I can. I’m going for the back-to back wins. Hopefully we can get another good finish in and solidify my place in the top six.”

Tamburlini starts her campaign at 12:50pm alongside France’s Chloe Salort and Scotland’s Hannah McCook.
