Skarpnord Headlines Drobak Ladies Open

Norway’s Marianne Skarpnord will compete in this week’s LET Access Series event, which takes place at Drobak Golf Club, near Oslo from the 29 – 31 May. Skarpnord headlines the Drobak Ladies Open, which will also see twenty-five fellow Norwegians in the 116 player field.

The 29-year-old, currently lying 6th on the LET’s ISPS HANDA Order of Merit, will be looking to secure her second LETAS title after winning the 2012 Ladies Norwegian Challenge by five shots from Sweden’s Daniela Holmqvist.

Skarpnord is joined in the field by current LETAS Order of Merit leader, Michele Thomson and Germany’s Isi Gabsa, who claimed last week’s title at the PGA Halmstad Ladies Open by Haverdal in Sweden. Play gets underway at 8.00am on Friday morning.

At the close of the 2015 LETAS season, the top five players on the 2015 Ranking will earn membership of the Ladies European Tour while players in sixth to 20th positions will have the opportunity to progress to the final stage of Lalla Aicha Tour School for 2016.
