Hi. My name is Josephine Janson and I’m 22 years old. I will be playing my first full year as a professional golfer and I’m really excited to get to play on the Ladies European Tour.

My first event this year was the New Zealand’s Open in Christchurch. I was really happy to start my season early, also to get away from the Swedish winter to go play and practice on grass again. At the tournament I stayed with a host family right off the 15th hole. I’m not use to staying with hosts during tournaments so I didn’t know what to expect but they were so kind and hospitable. They really took great care of me! I was a bit nervous but mostly happy to be playing tournament golf again. I played okay but ended up making some bogeys towards the end on the second round and missed the cut. Still it was a great experience and I hope to come back to Clearwater and see my host family again next year!

Lalla Meryem Cup was my second tournament for this year. Just as my first event I was really happy to get to warmer weather after a couple weeks at home. Golf de ‘ Ocean is a great course with a nice lay out. I also got to experience to use a local caddy for the first time. He was very kind and we had a great time even though we didn’t speak the same language 🙂 Unfortunately, I couldn’t find my game and didn’t play as well as I would have liked. However, I got some great experience and good practice and I’m really looking forward to Turkish Ladies Open!
