A field of 120 players from 23 different countries will gather at Ingarö Golf Club in Stockholm, Sweden, from the 7-9 August, to contest the eighth event on the 2014 schedule: the Ingarö Ladies Open hosted by Elin Emanuelsson.
The tournament features a high quality field of competitors, with 63 players from Sweden, including the current LETAS Order of Merit leader, Isabella Ramsay and Camilla Lennarth, winner of the LET’s Allianz Ladies Slovak Open presented by Respect, in June this year.
England’s Georgia Hall, who turned professional in July, will also be competing in her first event as a professional. The 18-year-old from Bournemouth, holds an impressive amateur record and will be looking to start her new career strongly.
They are joined by five past LETAS tournament winners in the field: Antonella Cvitan (2012 Samso Ladies Open), Anna Rossi (2012 Azores Ladies Open), Christine Wolf (2012 Crete Ladies Open), Emma Westin (2014 Solvesborg Ladies Open hosted by Fanny Sunesson), and Emma Nilsson (2014 Pilsen Golf Challenge).
The tournament result counts towards both the LETAS and Nordea Tour order of merits and after the next two events in Sweden and Norway, the Nordea Tour order of merit leader will earn a place in the field for the Ladies European Tour’s Helsingborg Open at Vastorp Golf Club from the 4 – 7 September.
At the close of the 2014 LETAS season, the top five players on the 2014 Ranking will earn membership of the Ladies European Tour while players in sixth to 20th positions will have the opportunity to progress to the final stage of Lalla Aicha Tour School for 2015.
