Ramsay and Koerstz Madsen share second-round lead

Isabella Ramsay of Sweden and Danish amateur Nanna Koerstz Madsen shared the second round lead at the Kristianstad Åhus Ladies PGA Open in Sweden on Friday.

The pair tied on one-under-par 143 after respective second rounds of 70 and 71 in windy conditions on the challenging Kristianstad course.

Ramsay, from St Arild Golfklubb, had four birdies on holes one, 10, 12 and 17 and two bogeys on the seventh and 13th.

Koerstz Madsen, from Smørum Golfklub, had five birdies – at holes 7, 8, 10, 15 and 18 – and four bogeys on the third, sixth, ninth and 12th.

First round leader Laura Murray of Scotland, who opened with a 2-under-par 70, ended the day in third place on a total of 144, level par with four further players a stroke back on one-over.

They were Germany’s Stefanie Kirchmayr, Danish amateur Emily Pedersen, Natalie Wille of Sweden and Italian Anna Rossi.

English duo Rachel Drummond and Jess Wilcox were in a tie for eighth on two-over-par with Lina Boqvist of Sweden.

The cut to the leading 40 professionals and those tied was made at 154, 10-over-par with the final round to be played on Saturday
