Sophia Popov
Germany’s Sophia Popov finished at the top of the leader board following the final day of the pre-qualifying stage of the Lalla Aicha Tour School in Rabat, Morocco.
The University of Southern California graduate shot a final round 71, to finish at four under par, 285, one shot ahead of fellow countrywoman Olivia Cowan, who closed with an even par 72.
Sweden’s Johanna Bjork (75) finished third at one over par, 289, with England’s Lucy Williams (72) a further shot behind at two over and 17-year-old Hungarian amateur Csilla Lajtai (77) in fifth place on three over par.
Thirty players, 25 professionals and five amateurs, progressed to the final stage of Lalla Aicha Tour School, which will take place from the 17 – 21 December at the Samanah and Al Maaden Golf Courses in Marrakech, Morocco.
