PLAYERS BLOG: Lina Boqvist’s from LETAS to LET
My Ladies European Tour Rookie Season:
My first season on LET went better than I thought. My only goal for 2015 was to keep my card for 2016, which means you need to be top 80 on the order of merit. Now I’m 40th on the order of merit and its one event left in Dubai, which I am really looking forward to.
I have learnt a lot, I have travelled around the whole world, met some new friends and I have had the opportunity to play some amazing courses on the way.
As a rookie you get to attend some very important “rookie meetings” put on by LET and the #LETdevelops rookie programme. The topics for the meetings have ranged from media, financial advice, mental training and so on. It’s everything you need as golf professional.
Reflecting on Access Series:
LET Access Series had helped me a lot. It’s good to have a professional tour between Nordea Tour (my national tour) and The Ladies European Tour. It is also good to start travelling around Europe by yourself and booking you’re own flights, accommodation and so on. It really prepares you for becoming a professional golfer.
I’m very glad that I had played on LET Access Series and I would recommend any aspiring player to play on Access Series as I may not be where I am on LET without it.
Time for New Goals:
My goal for 2016 is to be top 20 on the LET order of merit, and also play and to try and qualify for the Women’s British Open and the Evian Championship. I am already excited for the 2016 season but first the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters, you can follow my scores at www.ladieseuropeantour.com!
