Finland’s Sanna Nuutinen, currently lying 7th place on the LETAS Order of Merit, will headline this week’s EVLI Ladies Finnish Open, which takes place at Hillside Golf Club in Vihti, from the 25 – 27 August.
The 25-year-old from Helsinki, who lists weightlifting amongst her hobbies, will be hoping to lift her first professional trophy in her home country at the end of this week.
Nuutinen will be joined by nine fellow Finnish professionals and 19 amateurs, and her challengers for the title will be lead by current Order of Merit leader, Maria Parra of Spain, who will be aiming for her third victory of the season. The 18-year-old is joined by twelve past tournament winners in a field of 103 players, all vying to win the 10th event of the LETAS season.
At the close of the 2016 LETAS season, the top five players on the 2016 Ranking will earn membership of the Ladies European Tour while players in sixth to 20th positions will have the opportunity to progress to the final stage of Lalla Aicha Tour School for 2016.
The first round will commence at 8.00 on Thursday morning.
