Italian amateur Alessia Nobilio impressed on LETAS last week after finishing as the runner-up on eight-under-par.
After rounds of 72, 67 and 69 the 22-year-old fell just two shots back from winner Germany’s Patricia Isabel Schmidt.
Reflecting on last week’s result, Nobilio said: “I am confident about my game, because I know I’ve been working hard in the past month.
“My great result last week proved that I’m working in the right direction, which is all that matters to me right now, I’m still in the process of improving my game and learning from the pros.”
Nobilio back in 2021 showed her future potential when she finished tied third and the highest female at the ROMA ALPS LETAS a co-sanctioned event with the Alps Tour.
In four starts on tour, the amateur has made all four cuts and finished within the top 40.
Now Nobilio, who is accompanied by her father Alfonso on the bag, is excited to make the most of a new week in a new destination.
“I think it’s a great course in great shape that requires a lot of strategy. It has some longer holes, but I think the key this week is to be consistent from tee to green.
“Every time I play my goal is to win. To do that I focus on the process and what I can improve every day”
The Milan born player has prioritized rest between the two tournaments but has enjoyed some sight-seeing whilst in Sweden.
“I only had the time to visit Visby which I think is a very nice town. Other than that, I tried to rest as much as I can since I will be playing a lot in the next few weeks.”
Nobilio tees it up at 13:10 alongside LETAS’ number two and number four ranked players: Sweden’s Kajsa Arwefjall and Denmark’s Natacha Host Husted.
