Nilsson One To Watch At Turfman Allerum Open

                                                                                              Emma Nilsson

125 players from 23 different countries will tee it up this week at the Turfman Allerum Open, played at Allerum Golf Club, 20 minutes from Helsingborg in Sweden. This event, which forms part of the Swedish Golf Tour, is the eleventh on the LET Access Series, and with only two events remaining after this week, the players will be concentrating on finishing the season strongly.

At the end of the year, the top 5 players on the LETAS order of merit, not otherwise exempt, will earn their cards for the Ladies European Tour in 2019. The next 15 players will earn their place at the final stage of Lalla Aicha Tour School, which takes place in late December, in Morocco.

Sweden’s Emma Nilsson currently leads the ranking by just under 1300 points from Noemi Jimenez of Spain. With Jimenez taking a break this week, Nilsson has the opportunity to forge ahead.

There are 50 Swedish players in the field, including past winners, Isabella Ramsay, Linda Wessberg, Josephine Janson and Emma Westin. The leader of the Swedish Golf Tour ranking Filippa Moork is also a contender this week, as will be Lisa Petterson and Swedish amateur Moa Folke, who both made it through the first stage of the LPGA Qualifying School last week in California.

Play will begin on Thursday at 8.00 from both the 1st and 10th tees.
