Amateur Nastasia Nadaud from France fired a second round of five-under 67 to lead the Goteborg Open by six strokes heading into the final day.
The 17-year-old began her round with two early birdies on the third and fourth holes. She made her only bogey of the day on the fifth but swiftly followed that with another birdie on the sixth hole.
“Today I played really well. I think that every part of my game was on point, I didn’t miss a lot of shots which helps. I managed to save my pars when it was tough, this is very important. Then I hit my zones and a few birdies rolled in.”
The Frenchwoman, who secured a top-10 finish at the LETAS season opener in Terre Blanche had an error-free back nine with three further birdies to sign for the best round of the tournament.
“Having two great rounds in a row really increases my confidence in my game and strategy, I’m very happy with it. Tomorrow I will keep the same strategy, I’m going to play into my zones, stay calm and patient, and see how things go. Absolutely no pressure, it’s just about having fun now!”
In a share of second place is a Swedish trio Zandra Nilsson, Anna Magnusson, and Emma Thorngren, who are all at a total score of three-under-par after day two.
Both Nilsson and Magnusson had a strong front nine today making the turn in 33 shots and later carding two-under 70 in the second round.
Thorngren positively turned her day around on the back nine where she made four birdies and shares the second spot with her compatriots after the second round of one-under-par.
In outright fifth place is New Zealand’s Momoka Kobori at two under while another two-time LETAS champion Sara Kouskova from the Czech Republic is another position and shot back.
France’s Lucie Andre, Australia’s Kristalle Blum, and Scotland’s Tara Mactaggart all tie the seventh position at level-par while Corine Viden of Sweden rounds out the top 10 at +1.
A total of 61 players made the cut which was set at +9 after round two.
The final round goes underway on Friday morning with a two-tee start at 8:00 with the leaders teeing off from the first hole at 9:00 local time.
