MOOSMANN FEELING CONFIDENT HEADING INTO AHLSELL FINAL

Switzerland’s Elena Moosmann is feeling confident heading into the Ahlsell final at Elisefarm Golf Club.

The 21-year-old Swiss star has had a strong season on the LET Access Series (LETAS) with five top-10 finishes and only one missed cut at the Trust Golf Link Series.

Moosmann is currently sat in fifth position in the LETAS Order of Merit and is the only golfer in the top-six who is yet to win this season, so this week she is hungry for the win.

Speaking ahead of the tournament, Moosmann said: “I feel good heading into this event, and I am really looking forward to the last week here in Sweden!

“The fact that I could play well after a very bad first hole last week has certainly given me a little confidence for the coming week.”

Moosmann, who last won on the tour in 2019 at the LETAS VP Bank Ladies Open has had a couple of strong finishes this season including a third-place position at the Flumserberg Ladies Open where she lost out on the win to Dane Fie Olsen after leading the first two rounds.

“I have played a very consistent golf game so far this year and have been able to compete for the win a few times, unfortunately it has not been enough yet, but I remain patient and continue to play my game. Hopefully I will get a win.

“As an athlete you always want to win and therefore, I compete every time with the goal to win!”

This week’s venue Elisefarm golf club is a new venue on the LET Access Series and has proved popular with the players.

“The course this week is beautiful and has similarities to a links course. Which from the tee means avoiding the bunkers and hitting as many fairways as possible.

“The venue has a very beautiful atmosphere and I’m looking forward to playing here.”

Moosmann tees it up at Elisefarm Golf Club at 13:34 local time alongside the Netherland’s Zhen Bontan and Sweden’s Elin Pudas Remler.

Will this week at Elisefarm be her chance? We will see, but in the meantime check out Elena Moosmann’s golfing journey in the podcast episode below.
