The Ladies European Tour Access Series (LETAS) moves to National Golf Club in Belek, Antalya, for the second edition of the Mineks & Regnum Ladies Classic from 5-7 September.
With a prize fund of €50,000, players in the field who make the cut will earn one and a half times the order of merit points available at regular tournaments and the winner will take home a cheque for 8,000 euros.
The field of 81 competitors from at least 23 different countries including eight Turkish amateurs led by Begum Yilmaz, who played in the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open at the same venue on the Ladies European Tour in May. Emma Westin, who won the HLR Golf Academy Open impressively last week by a record breaking 11 shots, will lead the professional challengers for the title.
In total, there are 8 amateurs from Turkey, while England has the most representatives with 18 players. Sweden is next with 10 players followed by France and Italy with four.
The highest placed player not otherwise exempt will receive an invitation to the LET’s Open de Espana in Tenerife the following week, which takes place from the 18th – 21st September at Golf Costa Adeje in Tenerife.
This is the 12th of 16 events on the LET Access Series in 2014. The 2013 tournament was won by Belgian Chloe Leurquin, who earned one of the five cards for the LET in 2014.
