France’s Ariane Klotz has been one of the most consistently strong players on LETAS this season and currently is the highest ranked French player on the LETAS Order of Merit.
The 26-year-old from New Caledonia turned professional in January after earning her LETAS card at Q School and has not looked back since, finishing in the top 10 six times out of 11 events played.
Now Klotz who is yet to miss a cut is excited to play in her home country and at a new venue.
“The course is very fun to play, obviously it’s a little wet as we’ve had some rain, so I’ve heard from the girls that it is playing longer than last year.
“I’ve been working on patience and acceptance and I’m trying to stay positive and enjoy myself. That worked out last week after my first round.
“I know what I need to do, so I just must trust it and stay patient.”
Klotz has only missed one event, the Slovak Ladies Open, so has had a full-on season but knows she needs to get the job done to stay within the top seven and earn an automatic LET card for 2025.
“It’s the last stretch now so I’m feeling good. Our bodies and minds are a little tired, but I feel like I want to give my all every week.
“I still believe I’m playing good golf and am close to winning.
“I’m still trying to clean up the few things that are missing for a win or another podium position, but I’ve really enjoyed the season so far.”
Klotz, who turned professional later than most to pursue a master’s degree in civil engineering in Switzerland, is excited to have her boyfriend, Jean Baptiste, as caddy this week and the duo have a good track record.
“My boyfriend is coming to caddy me. So I’m picking him up. As a duo we’re doing well.
“So, I’m happy he’s here especially as the course is so hilly, so he can carry the bag up those hills.”
Klotz tees it up at 8:55am local time Thursday alongside LETAS Order of Merit leader Kajsa Arwefjall and Get Golfing Women’s Golf Championship winner England’s Megan Dennis.
