Stacey Keating
Stacey Keating takes a one shot lead into the final round of the Elisefarm Ladies Open from fellow Australian Amy Walsh, Laura Murray of Scotland and Swede Sarah Nilsson.
Keating recorded seven birdies and one bogey on her way to a 6 under par, 66 and total of 138 at the Elisefarm Golf Club in Horby, Sweden. The 30 year-old from Ballarat admitted to having the easier conditions with a morning tee time that avoided the majority of the windy weather.
“I think I got the best of conditions. I was off first and I probably had six or seven holes without any wind at all. And then seeing what the girls had this afternoon I think I definitely got the lucky side of the draw but that’s how it goes I guess and I’m just glad I made the most of those conditions.”
Walsh had a more up and down round with an eagle, five birdies, three bogeys and one double-bogey on her way to a two under par, 70. Both Murray and Nilsson also matched the Australian’s score to all be tied for second place going into the final day’s play.
Forty-nine professionals and three amateurs made the cut, which fell at +4, 148. Tomorrow’s final round gets underway at 8.00am.
