Janson Moves Ahead in Sweden

Josephine Janson pulled ahead of the field with a 2nd round of 68, to lead by two shots from fellow Swede Amanda Strang at the Boras Ladies Open.

Janson produced birdies on the 3rd, 9th, 12th, 14th and 18th and a lone bogey on the 17th for a 36-hole total of seven under par, 137.

Strang had the best of starts with an eagle on the 1st hole, mixed with birdies on the 7th, 15th and the 18th, and a bogey on the 4th, to also record a 68, to add to her first round of 71.

Hungary’s Csilla Lajtai-Rozsa (71), Michele Thomson (71) from Scotland and Sweden’s Jenny Haglund (72) are all tied for 3rd place at two under par, 142.

Four players, Austria’s Sarah Schober (73), Maria Beautell (72) from Spain and Swedes Emily Penttila (70), and Viva Schlasberg (74) are a further shot back at 1 under and a tie for 6th position.

Forty-two professionals and 15 amateurs made the cut, which fell at 5 over par, 149.
