The 21-year-old Englishwoman won the Terre Blanche Ladies Open in southern France in March and followed up with a second title at the LETAS Ladies Open at Hazlemere Golf Club in the UK in late August.
She now leads the Order of Merit with two wins from just two tournaments played, ahead of Frenchwoman Maisongrosse, who claimed her maiden title at the Dinard Ladies Open in September.
The 23-year-old from Perpignan in the south of France is one of 28 French players in the field along with last year’s Trophée Preven’s champion, Jade Schaeffer. After winning twice on the Access Series last year, the 25-year-old from Paris won the Raiffeinsbank Prague Golf Masters on the Ladies European Tour last month and will defend her LETAS title.
The trio will face some strong competition on their return to France, with Marjet van der Graaff, ranked third on the order of merit, fifth ranked Joanna Klatten and seventh placed Camille Fallay all confirmed for the €25,000 event.
There are players from 19 different nations in the field of 78 competitors, including highly-placed van der Graaff and Marieke Nivard from the Netherlands, Italian Anna Rossi, Denmark’s Julie Tvede, Maria Beautell of Spain and Bénédicte Toumpsin from Belgium.
They will all be looking for a strong performance in France as they bid for a place on the Ladies European Tour with just three events remaining on the 2011 LETAS schedule.
The Trophée Preven’s has been organised in partnership with the French Federation (FFGolf), who also operated the successful GENERALI Ladies Tour in 2010 as well as the Open de France Féminin. Together with partners like FFGolf, the LET Access Series continues to expand, providing more playing opportunities for female golf professionals who are unable to participate in regular LET events and for those who would like to continue playing during scheduled LET break periods.
