England’s Georgia Hall and Caroline Rominger from Switzerland are tied for the lead at 4 under par, after the second round of the Ingarö Ladies Open hosted by Elin Emanuelsson.
Hall took the club house lead with a second round, 69, 1 under par, with four birdies at the 3rd, 6th, 7th and 8th and bogeys on the 4th, 11th and 17th holes. Although the 18-year-old is playing in her first event as a professional, she has gained valuable experience competing in this year’s Ricoh Women’s British Open as an amateur, finishing in a tie for 29th, as well as the ISPS HANDA Ladies European Masters, where the Bournemouth based golfer tied for 33rd position.
Rominger, who teed off from the 10th tee, covered her opening nine in 2 under par, picking up further birdies on 11th, 16th and the 17th, with a sole bogey coming on the par three 12th, for a round of 66, 4 under par.
Sweden’s Isabella Ramsay, the current LETAS Order of Merit leader, shot the low round of the day, 65, to move into a tie for third place at one under par, alongside fellow Swede Lina Boqvist and amateurs Anna Appert Lund and Marta Sanz Barrio.
France’s Astrid Vayson de Pradenne (69) and Swedish amateur Cajsa Persson (74) are tied for 7th place at even par.
Forty-two professionals and ten amateurs made the cut, which fell at 7 over par. The final round’s play commences at 8.30am on Saturday morning.
