Golf de Terre Blanche to host international field of competitors

Golf de Terre Blanche, hidden in the hills of Provence and close to the glamour of the Côte d’Azur, will provide the backdrop for the Terre Blanche Ladies Open, the next event on the LET Access Series (LETAS), from 31st March to 2nd April.

Designed by renowned architect Dave Thomas, the courses at Terre Blanche are two of the most beautiful in Europe, characterised by rolling fairways, challenging bunkers, appealing water features and impeccable greens.

The Domaine de Terre Blanche was conceived from the onset as an El Dorado for golfers. Seldom has a concept been turned into reality as meticulously and as individually as here, bathed in the glorious sunshine of the Provence. Dave Thomas, the designer of such famous courses as the Belfry, was chosen to breathe life into the idea of two wonderful championship courses.

The wild, un-spoilt countryside on the fringe of the Côte d’Azur has been indelibly etched into the mind of the internationally acclaimed architect. Even today, the creator of so many remarkable courses all over the world is impressed by the unique character of this particular assignment. And not without reason: with a masterly touch, he transformed the untamed, hilly landscape into two courses that are so different in character, and yet have such a similar effect on the players. Anyone playing here pauses before each shot to take in the beauty of the view.

The field of competitors for the Terre Blanche Ladies Open, who between them represent 18 different countries, will be among the first female professional golfers to compete on this landscape and the winner will be the first champion on the burgeoning LET Access Series, which was launched earlier this year.

The field contains competitors from as far and wide as Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, England, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Scotland, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and Wales. There are four participants who are also rookies on the Ladies European Tour.
