Getting to Know Lydia Hall

Lydia Hall from Wales returns to Stoke by Nayland to defend her WPGA International Challenge title this week. We get to know Lydia with a few quick questions…

Who is your favourite golfer?

My favourite golfer would have to be Tiger Woods… he is one of the main reasons I picked up a golf club.

What’s your favourite club in your bag?

My favourite club has to be my driver, Lynx Black Cat! 

What’s been your biggest golfing achievement of your career?

My biggest achievement so far would be winning my first LET event, the British Ladies Masters in 2012.

Which is your favourite golf course?

I love the Majlis course at The Emirates course in Dubai

What is the one thing you could not live without?

I probably couldn’t live without my phone because its the only way I can stay in touch with family and friends while travelling, but also I do everything on it from listening to music, booking flights…

What is your favourite food?

Love a good steak! 

Who do you most look up to?

I look up to everyone because I’m only 5ft 2”

How would you spend your perfect day?

Perfect day would be spent having a nice breakfast with a sea view, walk on the beach followed by a P!nk concert in the evening!

Your favourite city?

Thats a tough one, I do love London and Dubai but there are so many incredible cities!

What do you like doing besides playing golf?

Love spending time with my family and friends!

What is your most memorable sporting moment?

Winning my first LET event, the British Ladies Masters.

What’s your best golfing tip for a beginner?

Best golfing tip for a beginner would be to have golf lessons from the start so no bad habits start!  

What’s in your golf bag besides golf balls and clubs?

Usual golfing accessories, waterproofs and umbrella. I always have a mini medical bag that includes bug spray, bite cream sun cream and plasters etc. Never know when you need them!

What are your goals for 2018?

Goals for 2018 are to finish Top 10 on LET Order of Merit and would love to finish the year off with a win.
