Winning the European Amateur Championship

What is the one thing you could not live without?

Home cooked food 

What is your favourite food?

Chocolate biscuit cake 

Who do you most look up to?

My parents

How would you spend your perfect day?

Play a round of golf in the morning, then go somewhere for a nice lunch. Take a walk around a new area or explore the countryside. Maybe play some other sport or go watch a game for a few hours. Finish the day with dinner and a movie

Galway, Ireland 

Describe yourself in one word?

Determined 

What do you like doing besides playing golf?

Playing all types of sports, especially swimming. I like reading if I get some down time, usually when travelling. Anything outdoors really, I like hiking and seeing new sights 

If you could travel anywhere where would you go?

I would love to take a road trip around Australia or go on a safari trip in South Africa 

What is your most memorable sporting moment?

Getting to bring up the Ryder Cup to the podium at the closing ceremony at the K club in 2006

What’s your best golfing tip for a beginner?

Practice your short game more than anything else, make sure you set some time aside to focus on your chipping and putting 

Do you have any superstitions before a round? 

No, I usually get to the course about 1.5 hours before my tee time and then just follow the same warmup routine each time 

What’s in your golf bag besides golf balls and clubs?

Snacks, usually protein bars and bananas. Extra gloves for when it’s warm or raining. Plenty of tees and balls markers 

What are your goals for 2019?

Play in as many tournaments as possible to gain as much experience as I can. Take one shot at a time and hopefully improve each area of my game every week.
