Finland’s Linda Henriksson recorded her first win on the LET Access Series at the VP Bank Ladies Open in Switzerland earlier this year. We get to know Linda with a few quick questions…
Who is your favourite golfer?
I love different parts of every player’s game – I don’t have a specific one.
What’s your favourite club in your bag?
My putter, it’s my new favourite.
What’s been your biggest golfing achievement of your career?
Getting the category for the Ladies European Tour and of course my win this year in Switzerland.
Which is your favourite golf course?
So many I can’t pick one!
What is the one thing you could not live without?
Coffee
Who do you most look up to?
Well, the best female athlete in the world for an example, Serena Williams and Lydia Ko, I aspire to strong women.
What is your favourite food?
Sushi
How would you spend your perfect day?
Probably starting the day with a small workout and playing some relaxed golf with my friends and family. The weather has to be perfect though and to have a nice dinner in the evening.
Your favourite city?
Well, I would say Prague.
Describe yourself in one word?
Someone who doesn’t give up.
What do you like doing besides playing golf?
I love food, I like to work out and to be with my family and watch some series.
If you could travel anywhere where would you go?
I like Florida.
What’s your best golfing tip for a beginner?
Keep your eye on the ball.
Do you have any superstitions before a round?
Not really but I don’t like red tees, I try to avoid them.
What is your most memorable sporting moment?
I think I will remember forever when I won my first Finnish event.
Do you listen to music before your round?
Yes, I listen to everything from opera to everything in the charts.
Do you carry anything in your golf bag other than golf balls and golf tees?
When I was in China last year I was given a good luck charm by a Chinese man. It was a terrible day and he found me crying on the airport floor and gave me this good luck charm and ever since then I carry this in my golf bag.
What are your goals for 2017?
I would like to get back to the main tour.
