Germany’s Isi Gabsa currently leads the LETAS 2015 order of merit recording back to back wins in May at the PGA Halmstad Ladies Open by Haverdal and the Drobak Ladies Open. Isi answers some quick questions…
Do you have a nickname your friends refer to you by? If so what is it?
My full name is Isabell but everyone calls me Isi!
If you were stranded on a desert island, what three items would you take with you?
Something to eat, a wedge and a good movie
If you could have an unlimited storage of one thing, what would it be?
Memory space
What is your favourite activity you do when you want to relax?
Going to the cinema with friends
How do you spend your time in the airports?
If I am by myself I watch a movie or when I am with friends we love to play Uno!
If you could learn any language fluently, what would it be?
Spanish, I think it’s one of the helpful languages
What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?
Snake and crocodile soup…but it tasted like chicken!
Do you like cooking? If yes what do you like / prefer to cook when you are at home with friends?
I love to cook German food. So everything from Knödel to Schweinsbraten.

Tell us something you hate doing. Why?
Running in the morning… I have to do it otherwise I’m not awake, but if I go running in the morning I have to get up earlier than normal.
What is your best travel tip?
Always have a good movie with you.
What advice would you give to aspiring amateurs looking to turn professional?
Be calm and patient!

Winning the PGA Halmstad Ladies Open hosted by Haverdal
What is your favourite golf course to play and why?
TPC Sawgrass, just the layout is awesome!
Do you have any superstitions before playing golf?
I always have to have two tees and my marker in my pocket not more and not less.

What’s in your golf bag apart from clubs and golf balls?
Of course my Ping clubs… I still have the belt badge from the Doral Junior Publix…I always have one dollar with me. But most important is a little mini pillow lucky charm, my friend made it 5 years ago, since then it is always in my bag
What tournament are you looking forward to most this season?
The Creditgate24 Golfseries Hamburg Open, it will be fun playing in Germany

Lorena Ochoa, Adam Scott, Felix Neureuther and Me!
What is your favourite distance to practise?
Everything between 20-60 meters
What is your average driving distance?
250 meters
Age you started playing golf? Who /how did you get involved in golf?
I started playing golf at 4. My brothers and parents were playing and I was in the buggy on the golf course and as soon as I could hold the club, I started playing.
What were your first set of golf clubs?
Some plastic clubs then my first real clubs were US Kids clubs. I still have my 7 iron from that set.
