Isi Gabsa
Germany’s Isi Gabsa, Kym Larratt from England, Austria’s Christine Wolf and Spanish amateur Luna Sobron are all tied for the lead at three under par, 137, after the second round of the Drobak Ladies Open in Norway.
All four players have shot identical rounds, 69, 68 over the first two days of the event.
Isi Gabsa will not only be aiming for her second win this season but hoping to move to the top of the LETAS Order of Merit. The 19-year-old is currently lying in second place, just 35 points behind Order of Merit leader Michele Thomson.
Christine Wolf will also be hoping for her second win on LETAS after claiming the 2012 Crete Ladies Open in her rookie season.
Kym Larratt is in a rich vein of form, finishing in a tie for 2nd at the ASGI Ladies Open in Switzerland at the beginning of May, followed by a third place finish in last week’s PGA Halmstad Ladies Open by Haverdal. The 27-year-old from Market Harborough is currently in third place on the LETAS Order of Merit and will have her sights set on improving her current position.
Sobron, who became a member of the LET Access Series whilst retaining her amateur status, has also enjoyed a strong start to her season, finishing in a tie for second at the Ribeira Sacra Humanidad de Patrimonio International Ladies Open in her home country.
Luna Sweden’s Johanna Gustavsson, shot the low round of the day, 67, to claim fifth place at one under par, 139.
Forty professionals and five amateurs made the cut, which fell at +8, 148.
