Field Set for HLR Golf Academy Open

A field of 106 players from 22 different countries will compete at Hillside Golf Club, near Helsinki in Finland, on 9-11 August, at the HLR Golf Academy Open. The event carries the largest prize fund of €40,000 on the 2013 schedule.

It is the eighth event on the 2013 LETAS calendar, with the top three players on the current order of merit, Mireia Prat, Patricia Sanz Barrio and Caroline Martens all competing this week.

Oona Vartiainen, the young Finnish amateur, who won the individual event at the European Team Championships in July, will be one of 33 amateurs in the field.

Five past LETAS tournament winners, Antonella Cvitan, Anna Rossi, Christine Wolf, Mireia Prat and Heather Macrae, will also be vying for the first prize of €6,400

At the close of the 2013 LETAS season, the top five players on the 2013 Ranking will earn membership of the Ladies European Tour while players in sixth to 20th positions will have the opportunity to progress to the final stage of Lalla Aicha Tour School for 2014.
