Feggans Finishes Strongly to Win in Sweden

                                                            Pamela Feggans

Scotland’s Pamela Feggans shot a closing 67 to win the Ingarö Ladies Open hosted by Elin Emanuelsson by four shots from Swedes Madelene Sagstrom and Antonella Cvitan.

Feggans started the final round one shot behind the overnight leader Cvitan. The Scot was unable to make much progress with an opening nine of even par, 36 as the Swede birdied the par five 7th hole to draw two shots ahead.

The 30 year-old from Patna played strongly over the closing holes, impressively holing her second shot on the par four 14th, which helped her to a back nine of three under par and a tournament total of 7 under.

Cvitan bogeyed the 10th and 13th holes before a birdie on the par five 16th put her back at 5 under par. Unfortunately, the Swede double bogeyed the final hole to drop into a tie with Swedish amateur, Madelene Sagstrom, who shot a final round of 67 (-3).

The current LETAS Order of Merit leader, Spain’s Mireia Prat, finished in a tie for 4th with Sweden’s Lina Boqvist, at one under par.

The next stop on the LET Access Series will be the HLR Golf Academy Open, which takes place at Hillside Golf Club in Vihti, Finland from the 9 – 11 August.
