Sweden’s Isabel Ekstrom carded two consistent rounds in the red of 71 and 68 to sit at the top of the leaderboard on five-under-par.
It was a slow start for the Swede who double bogeyed the second hole before rolling in four birdies in the next five holes. At the turn, Ekstrom kept it consistent to card two more birdies on her back nine.
Speaking about the day, Ekstrom said: “I played well yesterday, I hit a lot of good shots but just didn’t make any putts really and today I continued to hit good shots and rolled in a few putts.
“I think the course this week is fun and it’s in good shape so I’m really enjoying my time out here.”
This will be Ekstrom’s second time in the leading group this season. The first time was also in Sweden a month ago at the Vasteras Open.
“Tomorrow I just want to continue with the same things I have been doing a hopefully a couple putts can drop as well.”
The Netherland’s Lauren Holmey continues to sit in second but after today’s round is joined by Spainard Maria Parra.
Holmey turned professional in 2022 at 19 years old after earning her full LET card for 2023 through the LETAS series but returned in 2024 after losing her playing rights.
Parra, like Holmey is also a previous Tour winner and became a LETAS graduate as a teenager too.
Speaking after her round, Parra said: “I played well. I hit good shots, and I was confident in my game.
“I’ve been working hard on my golf game and my mental game. I’m happy to see the results now.”
Parra has had four top 15 positions this season and currently sits 35th on the LETAS rankings. The two-time LETAS winner and Epson Tour winner is hoping this will be the week to break into the top 10 again.
“I have played very calm in these past two days so I’m going to try to do the same. We plan to relax this afternoon, go to the lake and Alejandra has found a mini golf place.
“Playing in the last group means I have played well so I will just want to bring the same thing tomorrow. I like this golf course.”
Overnight leader Swedish amateur Edit Hertzman now sits tied fourth on three-under-par alongside her compatriot and 2025 Tour winner Andrea Lignell.
Meanwhile Spain’s Amaia Latorre and France’s Lucie Andre share sixth position on two-under-par.
Seven players round out the top 10 on one-under-par including Mexico’s Fernanda Lira who is chasing a hat-trick.
Elswhere not one but two hole-in-ones were made. The first by French player Gala Dumez on the 17th and the second by Sweden’s Nathalie Borg.
50 players made the cut which stood at +4. The final round begins at 8am local time tomorrow with the leaders going out at 9:20am.
