DENNIS DETERMINED TO FINISH SEASON OFF STRONG

With one final event remaining, England’s Megan Dennis has found herself in the midst of a tight race for an LET card.

The 25-year-old, who plays at Woburn Golf Club, is currently sat fifth on the LETAS Order of Merit, 77.45 points separate Dennis from the last current qualifier.

“I can’t believe we’re here already. It seems like the last eight weeks has gone so quickly.

“The goal is to get my LET card, but I’ve got to treat this week like I’ve treated the weeks previously. I just need to do the same thing I’ve been doing all year and stick to my game plan.”

Dennis has had a fantastic rookie season on tour with five top 10 finishes, including a win at the Get Golfing Women’s Golf Open in front of a home crowd.

“I really like the course this week, the greens are great and rolling quickly. They could be the fastest we’ve played this year.

“The back nine and front nine are very different. The front is more strategic and the back nine is a little more open.

“Yet I think each nine provides loads of opportunities and with the greens as good as they are I’m sure there is a lot of birdies to be had out there.”

Dennis has thoroughly enjoyed her season on LETAS and with close friend Billie-Jo Smith already securing her card, the Englishwoman is using it as extra motivation.

“We’ve become such good friends over the last year and Billie has made my whole rookie season more enjoyable.

“There is nothing better than seeing your friends succeed as well and I think she has put in so much work so it’s just extra motivation.

She’s secured her card so I just hope we can travel together next year on the LET.”

Dennis is also best friends from a young age with 2023 LETAS graduate, Hannah Screen, who’s win at last year’s edition of the tournament helped her secure the card.

“Hannah said its a great course, she obviously enjoyed it here and she won so it’s great to know what scores can be made here and its extra motivation to keep pushing for the last event.

“The biggest lesson this year has been patience. I think it’s so easy to get caught up and be result orientated.

“I had a run of events which didn’t go my way but then ended up getting a win and it just taught me that you never know what’s around the corner and you never know when it’s going to be your week.

“So, you just must stay patient when you are out there. I’m hoping this week goes my way.”

Dennis gets her round underway at 12:50 alongside other 2025 LET hopefuls Sweden’s Anna Magnusson and Denmark’s Natacha Host Husted.
