Last year Sweden’s My Leander clinched her first LETAS title securing victory at the Rose Ladies Open after rounds of 72,73 and 68.
It was her first professional win since 2018 as she became the only player to finish under par by sinking seven birdies on the final day.
Returning to Brocket Hall this year, the Swedish star was able to vividly remember her shots from the final day in 2022.
“I’m so excited. I have so many mixed feelings about returning to where I won. I’ve been out on the course and have so many memories coming back to me.
“Yet I’m trying to not remember those things because it’s a new year and a different set up.
“This week is all about bringing the best game you have for the tournament. So, I’ll try to delete as much as I can from last year and focus on this year.”
Leander has reduced her tournament schedule this year playing at five events but is yet to miss a cut and recorded a strong third place finish at the AMUNDI Czech Ladies Challenge.
However, the 28-year-old who represents AIK Golfklubb is more excited than nervous to get her title defence underway.
“The course this year is in perfect condition, the greens are amazing as are the fairways so I’m very excited.
“I’m going to be bringing the good stuff, but not the expectations because I feel the course could be played a little bit easier this year.
“It will be about getting a good start and playing it simple.”

Leander starts her title defence tomorrow at 1:00pm local time on hole 10 alongside Order of Merit leader Sofie Kibsgaard Nielsen and Trust Golf Link Series winner Lianna Bailey.
