The 18-year-old has played in the La Nivelle Ladies Open and the LETAS Ladies Open and is yet to make a cut, but she is truly enjoying the opportunity to play competitively.
“I really like it, but the course is very hard, very difficult. The courses are good but my game is very bad,” she said.
Like her compatriot Klara Spilkova, who is a member of the LET, Prorokova is still studying at school but will try for the LET at Qualifying School in January.
She explained how the LETAS was ideal preparation: “It’s a very good tournament: good players and good competition. I can’t play very often because I have to go back to school.”
Prorokova turned professional a year ago and along with Spilkova is one of only two female pros from her country.
Her parents are both amateur golfers and introduced their daughter to the game aged nine. Last year she turned pro with a handicap of 1.6. These days, apart from the LETAS, she normally plays with the men on the Czech PGA.
